A tough soccer match today ended in a 4-2 win for NFC4. Winning a tough match like this we played today is a great achievement resulted because of combination of skills, strategy, and teamwork. But mostly and most importantly – it was the NFC4 team passion that won the match. We spoke about this before the match – “this is our time, let's do that”.

Despite a combination of few factors, which included a very physically strong (and tall) opponents, a horrible NFC natural grass pitch and temperatures of 24 degrees, our players stayed focused and maintained their intensity throughout the entire match. We adapted quickly to changing circumstances (where opponents mostly took long balls from their defense line towards our box and used their body size when receiving the balls) and changed the tactics and positions as needed.

Although we had 4 good chances to take the lead in the first 25 minutes, we were unhappy with realization. And although we were the first to score on 30 ^th minute from a brilliant ball from Roman, we could not hold the lead as opponents scored an equalizer just 8 minutes later.

On the very first attack into 2 ^nd half it was Viktor who scored a goal from 14 meters after opponent's mistake in their box. Arsenal did not give up and equalized on 50 ^th minute from a penalty achieved after a debatable handball in our yard.

From this moment the match became even more aggressive which was quite not a surprise (taking into account the style of play Arsenal follows) but we pressed them hard and did not give them a chance to get closer than a corner kick.

On the 64 ^th minute, Nesi elegantly bypassed an Arsenal defender and passed the ball to Viktor, who, again, smashed the goal and scored his second– this time from the right. The final accord came on 87 ^th minute where Nesi received a ball from Kieran and crossed it to Viktor who was at the right place at the right time again and in just one touch put the ball in Arsenal's net. What a hat trick!

Overall, todays' 4-2 win is an important accomplishment, and gives us lots of energy before our last match on Sunday May 21st ^as we pursue our goal for the season.

We still have a chance to become champions. However (and very much unfortunately), this is not only depending on us now… we pray to win the next match and that OSC loses at least 1 point against their rivals next Sunday.
