A great 3:0 win against Sporting Martinus but sad news...

In what can only be described as a grueling and hard-fought football match, the NFC4 team managed to secure a 3:0 victory against Sporting Martinus.

Both teams started the match strongly and pushed forward and create opportunities, but it was NFC4 who pressed harder and begun its dominance making the away team to resolute in defense. It was Viktor Hyrych who scored the first goal from the penalty earned after the away team player defended using hands in its own box.

The second goal came on 27th minute after a great combination which started from a long throw by Petro Monda to Lucas Brito who passed to Vitalij Marushka. After passing the ball to Marko Feric, Vitalij sprinted into the goalkeepr's area while Marko masterly bypassed few players and passed to Vitalij. A beautiful 2:0. Wow !

The second half was a tense affair. NFC4 continued to press forward, while the away team looked dangerous on the counter-attacks using long balls. Few beautiful saves by Marius Kopperdraaijer kept the score at 2:0 till 72nd minute when a mistake from away team's keeper led to a thunderous strike and a beautiful goal by Vitalij leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.

Despite a fantastic performance and many chances, on 75th minute the NFC4 team has,  unfortunately, lost it defender, Petro Monda, who while supporting another great attack, unluckily landed on his right knee resulting in pain and a suspect to a meniscus injury.

So, with the mixed feelings the NFC4 team ended the match with a 3:0 leaving 4 more matches to play till the end of the season.   

We wish Petro a quick recovery. Knowing his strong character and a fighting spirit we trust he gets back to squad quicker and even stronger !
